Olive tree cafe – A small little place with a bunch of taste and lovely presentation.
Located in Bani sqaure which is upcoming food hub in Gurgaon having lots of options for food lovers, this place serves amazing Mediterranean and Italian food. Olive tree cafe is not so huge but has a very nice indoor and outdoor seating arrangements. Interior is very well designed with lots of wall hangings which shows the “love for food”.
I started with mojito and their herb potato wedges. Mojito was well prepared and so was wedges. I liked the dressing along with herbs flavour in that. Next in the queue was chicken tacos, which they will be launching soon in their new menu. Loved this preparation of Chef Shashikant who is the head chef for this place. I got a chance to meet him and discuss about the cuisine and they have lots in their plan, so stay tuned for their new menu which will be launched soon. The dishes which I loved the most was risotto and ratatouille. Very few of the places get these dishes right and I was impressed with olive tree cafe as it was one of the best I had so far. Very nicely prepared and perfect in taste. Another masterpiece was panzalella salad which was amazing in taste as well as presentation. I loved the cold coffee served here which was so smooth in taste and can beat the best coffee joints in town. Do try that when you are here. Now coming to the desserts. We ordered the walnut brownie and found this to be little different than the normal one which we usually have in most of the restaurants. The brownie had nutrella added to it which gave it a richer taste and texture. Loved every bite of it. Service was excellent and full marks to the staff for it.
Overall, It’s a small cozy place to have some good food and chat with friends. Recommended to all fellow foodies in town.
